Morning Camps: 9 am–12 pm

Carpool

• Carpool and drop off begins at 8:30 am. Upon reaching the entrance of the Cannon Campus, follow signs for carpool. Review our campus map as a visual aid.
• Print and complete this carpool sign and place it in your front passenger window when dropping off and picking up.
• Summer staff will be available to open car doors and bring campers to the correct location.
• If you need to help your camper out of the car, please park and walk your child to the sidewalk where a member of our Summer Programs staff will greet you and guide your child to the appropriate camp director.
• To ensure safety, please do not exit your car as this is a moving carpool lane.
• If you need to discuss something with your child’s camp director, please do so after carpool. The carpool line must keep moving!

Pick-Up

For bus transportation registrants:

Drop-off and Pick-up:

• Summer Programs staff will ride the bus with campers to help with logistics.  
• The bus picks campers up between 8:20–8:30 am each day. 
• The bus drops campers off between 12:20–12:30 pm each day.
• Christ Church is located at 1412 Providence Road. The bus will be in the main parking lot of the church.
• To ensure the bus remains on schedule, it leaves at the designated time. If you are late dropping off your child, it is your responsibility to drive them to camp that day.
• Campers will be given a name tag on Monday when they board the bus that will include activities for the day so staff can help campers navigate where they need to go. Campers will always be transferred between the bus and their camps by a staff member.
• Read the bus rules and expectations and review them with your camper. Failure to comply could result in loss of bus privileges.  

Morning Care (7:30–9 am)

• Use the main entrance off of Carmel Road and pull through the regular carpool line and park in any available spots.
• Follow the directional signs, and escort your child to the morning care classroom (carpool  doesn't start until 8:30 am).
• At 8:45 am, our Summer Programs staff will escort your child to their camp. 

Lunch Care (12–1 pm)

• Camp directors will escort children to the Lunch Care room with our Summer Programs staff.
• Important: the school cafeteria is closed during the summer, so students must bring a peanut and nut-free non-microwavable lunch every day.

After Care (4–5 pm)

• Camp directors will escort children to the after-care classroom after camp ends with Summer Programs staff.
• Park alongside the curb or in a parking spot and follow the directional signs to pick up your child.
• All students must be picked up by 5 pm. A late fee of $1/minute will be charged, payable at pick-up.

• Campers should dress comfortably and wear appropriate clothes that will enable them to participate in a variety of summer activities.
• For safety, campers should wear closed-toed sneakers.
• Lost and found is located in the Summer Programs office.

• During the summer, the school cafeteria is closed so lunch and snacks must be provided from home.
• Campers should bring a peanut and nut-free snack for each morning and/or afternoon session they attend, as time is allotted to eat.
• Campers should bring a full water bottle to camp. Water will be available for campers to refill their bottles throughout the day.
• Campers attending Lunch Care should pack a "cold" lunch every day since the ability to heat up food is unavailable. 

Country Day employs a certified athletic trainer during all summer camp hours. The trainer handles all medical issues, including illness and injury, but cannot dispense any over-the-counter medication.

If your child has any specific medical issues which were not described during the registration process and are important for our summer staff to know, please contact the Summer Programs office to discuss in further detail.

 

• In the event of lightning in the area, a school alarm will sound, and all students will be required to remain indoors until an all-clear signal is given or otherwise advised by the staff.
• Exceptionally high temperatures are expected all summer. Please make sure your child has sunscreen on before dropping off and a full water bottle. Water will be available for campers to refill their bottles throughout the day.
