Caroline McGuire Winslett '04 received the Alumni Service Award at the 2018 Alumni Volunteer & Distinguished Faculty Appreciation Luncheon.
A member of the class of 2004, Caroline McGuire Winslett has generously offered her time, talents, and resources to the School on numerous occasions. Four years ago, Caroline began working on the alumni committee of the Country Day Fund. Her friend, Jon Dixon, said “Caroline has contributed an enormous amount to the Country Day Fund over the past several years, culminating in her recent leadership of the program. As she does with so many parts of her life, she approached this with intense focus, energy, and as always a genuine and positive outlook!”
Nancy Ehringhaus shared the following about Caroline’s work with the Admission Office: “Caroline is one of Country Day’s best advocates. She loves the school and gives her time and talents wherever needed. This fall Caroline generously hosted an information session for about 50 prospective parents in her home. It was a warm, welcoming, and fun evening where couples had a chance to get to know the school in an informal environment. When the idea of this evening was bounced around, we began asking where do we have an event like this, who do we invite, etc.? Caroline immediately offered her home, started listing couples to invite and the planning for a successful evening was underway. She knows so many young professionals in the Charlotte area who are potential prospective parents. Knowing that she is our eyes and our listening ears with so many is very helpful. Caroline articulates Country Day of the past, who we are now, and where we are headed so very well. The future of Country Day is in good hands because of friends like Caroline! (and Trey!!)”
Congratulations, Caroline, on this well-deserved honor, and thank you for your exceptional service to your alma mater and fellow alumni.
