Sister School Exchanges

Country Day has established strong relationships with schools in seven countries on four continents. We've chosen schools with similar academic goals and a desire for students to understand the global community. Through these special sister school relationships we are able to confidently send our students abroad. Since 1992, more than 2,000 Country Day students have traveled on sister school exchanges.

These two-week exchanges are led by Country Day teachers and trip leaders. Students prepare by delving into the history, culture, and customs of the country they will visit, and then return to enrich the entire Country Day community by sharing what they've experienced.

The exchanges include homestays, sightseeing, and some classes. During the school year, Country Day welcomes sister school friends to Charlotte. Many alumni and their families remain close to the students and families from our sister schools. We offer exchange opportunities in these countries:
