Make a special gift to Country Day in honor of your reunion.
Your gift to the Annual Fund each year helps ensure current and future generations of Country Day students and teachers enjoy the exceptional educational experience our school has provided for 75 years. As you celebrate your reunion this spring, we hope you will consider making a special Reunion Gift to express gratitude for your own Country Day experience. For some, this might be your first gift to Country Day. For others, you may want to increase your gift amount from previous years. Or you can make a multi-year pledge to the Annual Fund. Your participation at any level helps ensure our school continues to thrive for many generations to come.
Why make a Multi-Year Pledge to the Annual Fund?
- Helps you keep track of your giving.
- Cuts down on the solicitation mailings you receive. (Also saves paper and printing/postage costs!)
- Enables the school to count on future contributions during the budgeting process.
- The total amount of your multi-year pledge made during your reunion year will count in your class’ reunion gift total.
Consistent giving is also key to the Annual Fund's success. In fact, Country Day launched the Loyal Society this year to honor devoted donors who have supported the Annual Fund for five or more consecutive years, no matter their giving level. You can learn more about the Loyal Society in the spring 2017 issue of Perspectives magazine, which arrives in mailboxes in early April. Additionally, if you already meet the requirements for membership in the Loyal Society, you will receive more information in the coming months and will be recognized in the 2016–2017 Annual Report.
We hope you will consider making a five-year commitment to the Annual Fund during your reunion year. Alumni who make a five-year commitment will not be solicited for the Annual Fund again until their next class reunion year (or when their commitment ends). The first payment of your multi-year pledge is due by June 30, 2017. You will receive pledge payment reminders each year for the duration of your commitment, and you will be acknowledged each fiscal year for the gift/payment amount made during that particular fiscal year.
Don't forget about Matching Gifts! Many companies and foundations will match the value of charitable gifts made by employees and their spouses, board members, and retirees. Matching Gifts can maximize your contribution to Country Day (and in some cases triple it!) and may qualify you for a higher gift recognition level than your personal gift alone.
