At Country Day, we take pride in providing our students with enriching, leadership experiences that expand their education beyond our classroom walls through experiential learning and community collaboration.
Our new Externship Program matches our seniors with Charlotte-area employers, alumni, parents, and friends of Country Day for an insider's view of a career field. The one-day job shadowing and mentoring experience allows our students to explore a career field, gain an understanding of what a job entails, learn about a typical “day in the life of,” and make meaningful connections.
Employer Host Opportunity
For Externship "hosts," this can serve as an excellent opportunity to market your organization and develop greater connections with the Country Day community. This is an exciting venture for Country Day and many organizations in our community participate and partner with us in mentoring our bright and motivated students. To participate as an Externship host and to help us better match our seniors with your organization, please complete this brief Employer Host Survey.

"The Externship is a unique, professional opportunity for students to express how their skills and interests potentially relate to a particular profession, articulate what a 'day in the life' would look like within an industry, and experience the value of making connections."
