Country Day Eclipse Viewing
Country Day is pleased to host a special educational activity and invite students, parents, and alumni to this exciting event:
County Day Eclipse Viewing
Beginning at 1:15 pm
Bruton Smith Athletic Center
Certified-safe viewing glasses will be provided for attendees
Upper School Astronomy and Physics teacher Charles Tuttle will lead a presentation on the science of the eclipse and discuss important safety guidelines. Many Country Day teachers and staff will also be in attendance. This promises to be a fun and engaging experience as students witness this unique astronomical event with their former and new teachers!
Important Information about Parking
If you've been reading about the solar eclipse, you know that big crowds and parking issues are expected in cities across the U.S. We'll be experiencing parking challenges at Country Day, too, due to the current construction on Cannon Campus. If you plan to attend the Eclipse Viewing, please park in the Upper School student parking lot. You will need to enter this lot from Carmel Road—the interior access road will be blocked due to construction. If you are coming from Fairview Road, the entrance is just past the dry cleaners. If you are coming from Sharon View direction, the entrance is just past the baseball fields. Look for the sign that says "Student/Athletic Parking Entrance." Thank you in advance for your patience and flexibility should it be necessary to open more parking.
