Warren Sepkowitz to Serve as Next Head of Lower School

Head of School Dr. Tara Christie Kinsey announced that Warren Sepkowitz, who has served as our Head of Middle School for 16 years and as Interim Assistant Head of School for the past 13 months, will serve as our next Head of Lower School, effective July 1.

"Widely known for hiring extraordinary teachers and for building, nurturing, and sustaining a faculty culture of teamwork, actionable feedback, and continuous growth to maximize student learning, Warren is uniquely positioned to be the next leader of our Lower School," says Dr. Kinsey. "His extensive institutional knowledge, together with his deep understanding of the Middle School curriculum and pedagogy, will catalyze our ongoing efforts to align our three divisions into one cohesive school."

During his tenure as Head of Middle School, Warren has hired and retained a remarkable team of faculty and staff who embody our mission and elevate the student experience each day. He has launched meaningful traditions and programs, including the Veterans Day Assembly, Artist in Residence Program, the Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast, and Walk for Hope, that honor our mission and Affirmation of Community while enriching student life.

Warren has championed a culture of joy and curiosity in teaching and learning, reinforcing the belief that students learn in a variety of ways and demonstrate intelligence in many forms. He also established the weekly divisional note to parents, strengthening the partnership with families and inviting them into thoughtful reflection about their children’s growth and development.
