Charlotte Country Day School is pleased to announce that Warren Sepkowitz has been appointed Interim Assistant Head of School, in addition to his current role as Head of Middle School. Warren will take on this expanded responsibility from January 2025 through the end of June 2026.
For the past 15 years, Warren has proven himself to be an excellent leader on Bissell Campus. In addition to managing all aspects of Middle School operations, he has created a strong culture of innovation and camaraderie among faculty and staff and developed numerous enduring programs that enhance the student educational experience. These include the Artist in Residence Program, Veteran’s Day Assembly, Walk for Hope, MLK Breakfast, and Parent University.
With over four decades of experience in education, Sepkowitz brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this interim position. His career has spanned roles ranging from classroom teacher and program director to leadership positions such as Director of Professional Development at Providence Day School, Head of School at Woodlawn School, and Assistant Head of School at Redwood Day School.
Given his extensive background in academic administration, Warren is well-prepared to provide invaluable support during this transitional period. His leadership will serve as a strong foundation for the incoming Head of School Dr. Tara Christie Kinsey, who is eager to collaborate with him in this new capacity during her first year at Country Day.
