What do you get when you combine 57 Honors Algebra 2 students with 113 second graders? A lot of fun and smiles, along with a collaborative math lesson.
Upper School math teacher Chelsea Evans collaborated with second grade teachers on a math project with her three sections of Honors Algebra 2. The Upper School students have worked on transformation (shifting left/right/up/down, stretching, compressing, reflecting) with functions and shapes; the Lower Schools students practiced their multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction as they worked with the older students on the transformations.
