Upper School students recently welcomed visiting delegations from two of Charlotte’s sister cities, Kumasi, Ghana, and Krefeld, Germany. Country Day students will travel to Kumasi, Ghana, in March and Krefeld, Germany, in June as part of a faculty-led program based on diplomacy and cultural understanding. We are excited that we have been able to re-establish, in person, our long-standing international partnerships.
On September 19, Mayor Samuel Pyne of Kumasi, joined by a delegation of four government representatives, visited Cannon Campus and joined students for a breakfast meeting.
On October 25, Mayor Frank Meyer of Krefeld, joined by a delegation of five government and university representatives, sat with students for a discussion comparing school systems and approaches to environmental suitability.
