Strategic Update: Listen to Town Hall and Share Your Feedback

As Charlotte Country Day School is in the second half of the school year, School leadership and the Board of Trustees are building on the momentum of the fall semester to clarify and shape the School’s future direction. This strategic update outlines four areas of strategic focus and highlights next steps as the School begins developing an action plan to guide its shared work in the years ahead.

Grounded in extensive listening and engagement across the community, Head of School Dr. Tara Christie Kinsey has shared preliminary observations with the leadership team and the Board of Trustees. These observations provide a clear and informed view of the School’s current landscape and emerging opportunities, building upon the School's Strategic Framework and reaffirming that this work remains rooted in mission and focused on our future.

From this process, four strategic areas of focus have been identified to guide the next phase of the School's work.

Strategic Areas of Focus2

In February, Head of School Dr. Tara Christie Kinsey shared four strategic areas of focus in a number of Ted-Talk style meetings with faculty and staff, families, and the Alumni Council. These sessions are an important part of our shared thinking about Country Day’s strategic priorities and future direction. If you were unable to attend, we invite you to watch the recording of the Town Hall [linked here]. We also invite you to take a few moments to share feedback or submit questions through this form. Your perspective helps guide our ongoing conversations and next steps.
