Special Olympics: An Extra-Special Country Day Tradition

April 26 and 27 felt extra special as Country Day once again hosted the Special Olympics Mecklenburg County Spring Games. It's been two long years since our students have shared hugs and high fives with their buddies and served as match organizers, scorekeepers, announcers, crafters, and more for hundreds of Olympians. Since 1983, the entire Upper School—students, faculty, and staff—has taken a two-day break from the rigors of academia to host the spring games. It was wonderful to welcome back the Special Olympics athletes once again!
