Congratulations to the cast and crew of the fall One Act Plays who recently performed at the North Carolina Theatre Conference High School Play Festival in Mooresville. This year, Country Day took two productions, The Arabian Nights and Dr. Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat.
Dr. Seuss’s Cat in the Hat won first place and will advance to the state competition, November 21–22, 2019. In addition, both shows won the following awards:
- Outstanding Ensemble: The Arabian Nights
- Excellence in Ensemble Acting: Dr. Seuss’s Cat in the Hat
- Outstanding Actor for The Arabian Nights and Dr. Seuss’s Cat in the Hat: Adam Ogden
- Barbizon Production Award: Robyn Ardern
- Excellence in Acting for The Arabian Nights: Lauren Rydel
- Outstanding Director: Jenny Goodfellow
