Ewan Macaulay, as the Working Farm Site Manager, will be responsible for coordinating and managing all property facilities, infrastructure, grounds, and equipment maintenance and operations.

Steve has been a part of the Country Day community for 17 years, most recently as Upper School Assistant Dean of Students and Senior Class Dean. In that role, he has designed and led the Senior Leadership Seminar and Senior Externship, as well as an Entrepreneurial Studies course. He has a proven track record in creating unique programs and opportunities that allow students to engage in distinct learning and leadership experiences. Steve shares, "I believe this incredible gift of the Weddington property to be a canvas that allows us to dream and serve our students, faculty, alumni, and Charlotte area friends in both the short term and long term."

Steve received a master’s of business administration from Lenoir-Rhyne University and a bachelor of arts in business administration from Furman University, where he also majored in Spanish. A trusted member of our Country Day community, Steve’s leadership and vision will translate into collaborative and meaningful opportunities for all members of our community at the Weddington property.

Balancing the educational vision with operational excellence, Ewan comes to us with over 20 years of experience in the golf turf industry having worked in both high-end private and high-demand public courses, including Rock Hill Country Club and Charlotte Country Club. His expertise and professionalism will ensure all operations on the property are managed at the highest level.

Ewan received a bachelor of arts in recreation management from Kean University as well as advanced degrees in golf turf management and outdoor pursuits from Rutgers University and Telford College in Scotland. He shares, "I truly enjoy an organization where high standards are a daily goal. Being raised in Scotland has given me a true passion for my profession, and my upbringing motivates me every day to provide the best standards possible. I am looking forward to working at this beautiful and inspirational property and partner with the educators to make student experiences happen."
