The 2025 Mecklenburg County Special Olympics Spring Games were held on April 28 and 29, continuing a meaningful tradition at Country Day. Since 1984, Upper School students and faculty have proudly hosted the event, thanks to the vision of retired Dean of Students David Ball. Over the course of the two days, students served as athletes' buddies, facilitated the events, ran arts and crafts stations, and brought overall joy to the participants and their families.
This is a defining Country Day experience that students and faculty look forward to every year and alumni look back upon fondly. Get a glimpse of what these days are all about.
