A JK THROUGH 12 INDEPENDENT SCHOOL IN CHARLOTTE, NC

1941
Halloween Parade

Even though visitors weren't allowed on campus this year to watch the 72nd annual Lower School Halloween Parade due to COVID-19, the fun and spirit among our students and their creative costumes remained the same, despite the drizzly weather.

On October 28, students in grades JK–4 paraded through campus dressed from the traditional superheroes, princesses, and witches, to Minecraft, chickens, and food items! Since 1948, Country Day's Lower School students and teachers have celebrated Halloween with a parade around campus, making this annual event one of the school's longest standing traditions.

Our Teachers Participate Every Year, Too

Students love seeing their teachers dress up for Halloween every year! Special thanks to Country Day parent Nancy Sasz for creating this video featuring current and retired teachers who have participated in many Halloween Parades over the years, making this fun event all the more memorable!
