Lower and Middle School recently welcomed some very special guests for our annual Grandparents' and Special Friends' Day. Made possible with the support of the Parents' Association, the morning gave visitors a peek at the experience at Country Day through the eyes of the students they love most.
Throughout the visit, guests explored classrooms, strolled through campus, and soaked in the energy of the joyful students and educators. Fourth graders stood out for the genuine warmth and thoughtfulness they brought to welcoming their visitors. The Lower School program featured a performance by the Buccaneer Voices, the Lower School chorus, whose singing drew smiles from every corner of the room, along with special remarks from Director of Admissions and Financial Aid and fellow grandparent Nancy Ehringhaus. In Middle School, guests sat in on advisory and took part in a short program where students took to the stage to share heartfelt reflections on what their grandparents mean to them, and musical performances added a celebratory spirit to the morning.
As the morning wrapped up, grandparents and special friends departed with kind words and grateful hearts, with many sharing that seeing their grandchildren thrive here made the visit all the more meaningful.
