Crushing it in Color: The 2023 Run For Good Celebration

Cannon Campus was awash in color Wednesday afternoon as the Country Day community celebrated another triumphant installment of the Run For Good. Dubbed "Crushing it in Color," the 2023 event was as spirited as it was successful.

A picturesque fall afternoon welcomed 701 Lower- and Middle-School runners—plus their enthusiastic cheering squads—to Belk Stadium. Their participation, plus that of 67 virtual runners, allowed the Parents' Association to donate $19,200 to the beneficiary organization ourBRIDGE for Kids. OurBridge is instrumental in welcoming refugee and immigrant children and families to the Charlotte community.

The beloved All-School Picnic followed on Blythe Field, featuring music, face painting, a photo booth, lawn games, and an array of food trucks.

Many thanks go to Run For Good Co-Chairs Sara Kulbersh and Marta Licausi, to Projects Board Chair Jill Halverstam and Parents' Association President Kristin Hair, and to the many parent volunteers who lent their time to this special community event. This is just one of the many ways that the Parents' Association builds connection and fosters community spirit.
