Congratulations to our six National Merit Semifinalists!
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) recently announced the names of more than 16,000 Semifinalists nationwide. These academically talented students now have the opportunity to continue in the competition for nearly 6,930 National Merit Scholarships worth almost $26 million to be awarded next spring. To advance to Finalist standing, Semifinalists must complete specific application requirements. NMSC reports that about 95% of Semifinalists achieve Finalist status, and roughly half of those students go on to receive a National Merit Scholarship.
We are deeply proud of these students for their exceptional accomplishment and for the example they set for our community.
