Cannon Campus came alive with music, laughter, and the unmistakable energy of community as friends and families gathered to celebrate our 63rd Big Saturday on April 18, 2026. This beloved spring tradition delivered everything we look forward to every year.
Families explored rides and games that spun, soared, and bounced. The International Food Hall brought vibrant flavors and cherished traditions from around the world, while the bake sale and prize booth ensured no one left empty-handed.
As always, this community-powered day only comes together because of the extraordinary time and talent volunteered by hundreds of parents, students, faculty, and staff. Tremendous gratitude goes to Big Saturday Co-Chairs CT Anderson and Catherine Becker, Projects Board Chair Laura Judd, and PA President Jill Halverstam for their expert leadership and months of careful planning.
The International Food Hall was a highlight once again, celebrating global flavors and family favorites at the heart of campus. Many thanks to International Parent Board Chair Geoff Haggart and Big Saturday Chairs, Daoxin Lu and Katie Panduro, for leading this delicious and beloved tradition year after year.
The 42nd annual Art Sale wowed guests with a beautifully curated collection, made possible by the creativity and dedication of co-chairs Cindy Costa and Anne Warren.
And a heartfelt shoutout to Car Raffle Co-Chairs Maggie Currey and Kirsten Lingerfelt for rallying student enthusiasm and organizing the raffle with energy and heart — a perfect way to close out the day! Congratulations to the Dwyer Family for winning the raffle this year!
💚 Why is Big Saturday so Special?
Big Saturday is one of Country Day's longest-standing traditions — and a true celebration of community. Students, parents, siblings, grandparents, alumni, faculty, and staff come together for a day of fun, connection, and shared pride in this place.
It's also a meaningful way to support the Parents' Association, which enriches student programs through fundraising. Proceeds from Big Saturday support classroom enrichment, show appreciation for teachers, and deepen the school–parent partnership.
Did you know? The Parents' Association sponsors all ongoing grade-level and divisional parent education and brings in nationally acclaimed speakers — including this past year's thought-provoking conversations on student wellness and the world your kids are growing up in.
Thank you to our generous sponsors — and to everyone who volunteered, baked, attended, purchased tickets, food, or art, and contributed in countless ways — for helping make Big Saturday a memory our whole community will carry.
