Despite the ominous weather forecast, the 60th annual Big Saturday was a resounding success! Hundreds of happy students and parents braved the threatening weather for a day of fun, food, and fellowship!
The day started off with a bit of a cloud cover, but Country Day volunteers and staff brought the sunshine with their enthusiasm and positive attitude! The three-day Art Sale curated beautiful and memorable art pieces brought in from more than 50 artists from inside and outside the school community; the ever-popular International Food Tent typically held outside was moved to the Dowd Student Center in anticipation of the rain, and featured delicious cuisine representing 15 countries from our own international parent community; the Harris Performance Gym Atrium looked like a baked goods mecca where the Bucs Bakery was held; the Talent Show featured many acts performed by enthusiastic students; and of course, the rides, games, and prize booth were also a hit.
One of the highlights of the day was the car raffle! Congratulations to parent Meg Cochrane who won a $30,000 credit from Williams Automotive Group.

Our school community is incredibly fortunate to have dedicated parent groups like the Parents' Association, Boosters Club, and POCIS. They cultivate a strong sense of community and generate funds to enhance our students' educational experiences.
We can look back on the 60th Big Saturday with pride, fond memories, and a sense of community spirit.
