A Community Committed to Service

Our community is united by a shared commitment to service, inspiring contributions from everyone—from our youngest learners in junior kindergarten to our dedicated staff and parents. This shared commitment to building awareness, empathy, and compassion has made a lasting impact, reflecting the true spirit of giving.

Here are just some of the many ways we’ve come together to make a difference this year:

Lower School

  • Book Drive for Dewar Elementary School: During the fall Book Fair, students donated 447 books to support a Hurricane Helene-impacted school, bringing joy and encouragement to their students.
  • Baby Bundles Book Drive: Partnering with the Holiday Farm Fest, Lower School families collected board books for babies and toddlers, helping families in need through Baby Bundles.
  • Canned Food Drive: Each classroom collected canned goods for Second Harvest Food Bank in October.
  • Promising Pages: In January, third and fourth graders will raise money during Bingo Night. Last year's $1,700 donation helped support young readers.
  • Bright Blessings: First-graders made birthday celebration kits for children living in shelters, ensuring they could celebrate their special day with friends.

Extended Day

  • Weekend Bags for Families Forward: Students in Extended Day packed 120 "weekend bags" filled with shelf-stable foods to ensure children have access to meals outside of school. The bags were delivered to two local schools, supporting students who need it most.
