International Baccalaureate

We are the only independent school in the state to offer students this rigorous, internationally recognized course of study. Our small class sizes are essential to successfully developing the intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills that the IB Program offers.

Artists in Residence

Our Artists in Residence program provides unique student experiences fueled by art and culture. In addition to bringing outside artists to campus to work directly with our students on special projects, Middle and Upper School students are offered opportunities to explore their talents and creative expression abroad.

Hance Family Gallery

The Hance Family Gallery exhibits artwork from our students, faculty, alumni, and visiting artists. Every year, we host an exhibit open to the public featuring works from special artists.

Parent Experience

The Country Day community includes an exceptional network of parents who are an integral part of our school. They support our students through the generosity of their time and resources, and help strengthen student programs, build community, and provide additional support through fundraising. In addition, we believe in cultivating a community of life-long learners, including parents.

Parent Education

We continually provide educational opportunities for our families on timely and relevant parenting topics through workshops, book discussions, and nationally-acclaimed speaker events. In addition, the Parents' Association sponsors on-going grade-level and divisional education meetings to help parents with various developmental stages and challenges that arise when parenting, and school divisions and departments also host relevant topic discussions. Volunteering

Every year, hundreds of parent volunteers donate thousands of hours of their time for the benefit of our students and teachers. The impact of our volunteers’ contributions is immeasurable and greatly appreciated. There are many opportunities to volunteer and get involved at Country Day for both working and non-working parents.

Parent Support Groups

Parent support groups allow parents to connect with our school community in a variety of ways and support our students through the generosity of their time and resources.

Parents' Association (PA)

Founded in 1943, the Parents’ Association provides fellowship and friendship among Country Day families through hosting school-wide activities and fundraisers, like the annual Big Saturday carnival and bi-annual auction. Every Country Day parent is a member of the Parents’ Association. There are many opportunities available to get involved with the PA, some positions requiring just a few hours, while other roles are more involved such as serving on a board.

Boosters Club

The Boosters Club was founded in 1977 to encourage and supports strong interscholastic athletic and physical education programs at Country Day. Each year parents volunteer their time and expertise to support our athletes through a variety of fundraising, spirit-promotion, and community-building activities, like the golf outing, spirit nights for each division, and merchandise and concessions. POCIS

People of Color in Independent Schools (POCIS), a committee of the National Association of Independent Schools, was established in 1999. POCIS supports students, faculty, administrators, and parents who believe that diversity and multiculturalism are endemic to quality education for all. POCIS is a forum that promotes dialogue about diverse cultures, languages, knowledge, and insights of people of color to contribute to creating an inclusive and affirming institution.
