• All school-wide protocols regarding students with COVID-19 symptoms or known COVID-19 exposures (even without symptoms) remain in place during Athletics. Please refer to our COVID-19 policy, in particular the “Return To School” and “Exposure Management” sections for details.
• Students must have all required health forms on file through the Magnus health portal in order to begin practices. Required forms are: Physical Examination documentation (two pages; exam must have been completed in the past 13 months), Medical History, Consent to Treat, Concussion Awareness, Sudden Cardiac Death Awareness, and Athletics Consent to Participate.
• Cleaning: Equipment will be disinfected regularly.

• Athletes who are experiencing any flu-like symptoms or have a household member experiencing flu-like symptoms should stay home.
• An individual should not attend practice or competition if:
  • An athlete or anyone in the athlete’s family has tested positive for COVID-19, or
  • Has had a known exposure (within six feet for 15 minutes or more) to someone who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 10 days, or
  • Is in the process of getting tested for COVID-19 (due to exposure or symptoms) and awaiting results.
• All symptoms and exposures should be reported to a Country Day athletic trainer and/or coach.
• If a student is fully vaccinated and exposed, they do not have to quarantine unless there are symptoms present.

Outdoors

• Masks are not required for student-athletes or coaches/staff.
• Spectators are not required to wear a mask, but should maintain physical distancing.
• Anyone who wishes to wear a mask may do so in any activity.

Indoors

• Masks are not required for fully vaccinated* student-athletes and coaches.
• If not fully vaccinated, masks are required for coaches and student-athletes who are not participating.
• Spectators are required to wear a mask at all times.
• Anyone who wishes to wear a mask may do so in any activity.

*According to the CDC, people are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a two-dose series (such as Pfizer or Moderna vaccines) or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine (such as Johnson and Johnson).

Weight Room

Student-athletes participating in Strength & Conditioning workouts are required to wear a mask.

Day Trips

Any additional policies and procedures of the host school will be followed.

Overnight Trips

• Student-athletes and coaches/staff are required to be fully vaccinated* to participate in such activity.
• Student-athletes and coaches/staff must upload their vaccination card into Magnus or via e-mail to health@charlottecountryday.org.

Lodging (hotels/rentals)

• Must meet Overnight Trips requirement
• Two student-athletes per room

• All students must wear a mask to ride the bus regardless of vaccination status.
• Two student-athletes per seat. 
• Seating chart will be created.

Team Meals/Snacks

Team meals are available to student-athletes and coaches only and must be pre-packaged or served items only (a small number of parents will be allowed to help facilitate the dinner).

Water

Athletes must bring their own water bottle to practice to participate. Water re-fill stations will be provided.
