Grandparents and Special Friends

At Country Day, our Grandparents and Special Friends hold a meaningful place in our students’ lives. Your presence enriches our community, and we are delighted to welcome you—whether for the first time or back again—to campus! We look forward to sharing special moments with you in our classrooms, around campus, and alongside your little Bucs.

Lower School

8:00–8:30 amJK–1st Grade Program, Gorelick Family Theater

Classroom Visits

  • 8:15–9:00 am: 2nd Grade 
  • 8:35–9:05 am: Junior Kindergarten  
  • 9:00–9:45 am: Kindergarten 
  • 9:30–10:15 am: 1st Grade 
  • 10:05–10:50 am: 3rd Grade 
  • 10:15–11:00 am4th Grade 

Check-In
No advance registration is required, but please check in with our staff and Parents’ Association volunteers upon arrival. Check-in opens at 7:45 am in front of the Lower School Administration Office. Parent volunteers and fourth-grade students will guide you to where you need to go.

Parking & Transportation
To ease parking congestion, we encourage parents to drop off and pick up their child's special guest in front of the Lower School Administration Office. Regular parking is available in the Levine Lot and Visitors Lot. Golf carts will be on hand for those needing assistance.

Hospitality Hubs
Enjoy coffee, conversation, and wayfinding at our Hospitality Hubs, conveniently located throughout the Lower School campus. 

Middle School

5th and 6th Grade11:45 am–1:00 pm
Visit Advisory followed by a program in the gym

Check-In
Upon arrival at Bissell Campus, you will be warmly welcomed under the glass dome before being joined with your student to attend Advisory together. Please check in with our staff and Parents’ Association volunteers upon arrival. Check-in opens at 11:30 am. A brief program will follow in the Gym, with light refreshments provided in classrooms.

Parking 
Parking attendants will guide you when you arrive on campus. Golf carts will be on hand for those needing assistance.

After the event, you’re welcome to enjoy an off-campus lunch with your student! While not required, students may leave with you for the remainder of the day.

Directions from Cannon Campus to Bissell Campus

Middle School – Bissell Campus: 5936 Green Rea Road
Estimated drive time: 10–15 minutes

Directions:
As you leave Cannon Campus, turn right onto Carmel Road and drive approximately three miles. Turn left onto Green Rea Road (almost immediately after you pass Carmel Country Club on the left). At the end of Green Rea Road, you will arrive at Bissell Campus on your right.
