Before the first pitch on Friday, April 24, our baseball community came together to celebrate one of our newest and most meaningful traditions - the Faculty Appreciation Game. This special event highlights the powerful relationships that shape the student experience, as each player selects a faculty or staff member who has made a lasting impact on their high school journey.

As players were announced, they were joined on the field by their honored guests, creating a moment of recognition filled with gratitude and applause from the crowd.

Among those recognized, Will Campbell honored Mr. Hackett for his patience and ability to make every class engaging and understandable, while Juan David Hernandez-Mujica celebrated Mrs. NJ (Brie Nabet Jones) for bringing energy and encouragement to his ninth-grade experience.

Collin Cope shared his appreciation for Mrs.Campbell Patrick, noting her kindness and willingness to support students through challenging material, and Logan Crane recognized Mrs. Hine for creating a fun and caring classroom environment. Similarly, Myers Griffin highlighted Mrs. Niekras for her consistent positivity and dedication to student well-being.

A standout moment came as both Dehler Hart and Towle Hosmer honored Mr. Utley, praising his inspiring teaching in architecture and design and the joy he brings to the classroom. Ryan Jones also brought smiles to the crowd as he recognized Ms. Leonnig for her humor and ability to make learning fun.

The arts and creativity were well represented, with Pierce Miller celebrating Mrs.Goodfellow for her contagious energy in improv, while Achillies Morales expressed gratitude to Mr. Stanton for his support and focus on growth in mathematics.

Darius Morales honored Ms. Jolly for her patience, kindness, and memorable experiences both in and outside the classroom. L.W. O’Neil recognized Ms. Carey for her welcoming spirit, and Will Proffitt highlighted the lasting impact of Mr. Bach, a dedicated educator who has influenced generations of students.

Connections that go beyond the classroom were also celebrated. Dominic Ranalli honored Mr. Brown for their shared passion for hockey and his guidance as an advisor, while Charlie Pfeifer recognized Coach Cole as a role model he deeply admires.

The appreciation extended across campus, as Alex Ruiz gave a heartfelt shoutout to Ms. Denita from the cafeteria for her daily positivity, and Alex Stefiel recognized Miss Trojan for her unwavering support and flexibility, always taking the time to have meaningful conversations that matter to her students. Mac Summerville also honored Mrs. Singh, crediting her with helping him understand material better than ever before.

The event concluded with a heartfelt round of applause for all those recognized - a reminder that the influence of great educators and community members extends far beyond any single class period or season.

We are deeply grateful for the faculty and staff who dedicate themselves to our students with passion, patience, and care. Your impact is lasting, your work is valued, and your presence makes our community stronger every day.
