Like other independent schools, Country Day tuition does not cover the full cost of a Country Day education. We rely on additional support through annual giving, capital projects, endowment, and parent group support to ensure ongoing faculty and staff development, as well as opportunities for student growth and learning.
A Message from Dr. Tara Christie Kinsey, Head of School:
This year, we’ve introduced “Strong Minds. Good Humans.” It’s a phrase that captures our aspiration for every Country Day student: to think deeply, lead with purpose, care for others, and make a meaningful difference in the world.
Guided by input from across our community, our Board of Trustees has approved a bold and visionary plan anchored by four strategic pillars: Lifelong Community, Excellence in Education, Responsibility to Serve, and Healthy Striving. Together, these priorities will shape an educational experience that prepares Country Day students for lives of purpose, impact, connection, and joy.
The Country Day Fund is essential to bringing our shared vision to life. As the school’s top philanthropic priority, annual gifts provide critical resources that support the people and programs at the heart of a Country Day education – from exceptional faculty and innovative academics to financial aid, athletics, arts, international studies, DEIB, and more.
Your participation has a meaningful impact, and collectively, annual fund gifts bring our vision and mission to life.
Please consider making your 2026–27 Country Day Fund gift or pledge today. Your support enables Country Day to continue to think boldly, invest wisely, and provide every student with the opportunity to sharpen their strong minds and good character.
Thank you for believing in Country Day and for investing in the future we are building together.

The Board of Trustees and School Fundraising Initiative = The Country Day Fund
The Country Day Fund is the school's number one fundraising priority each year because it provides critical, unrestricted support to our operating budget, impacting every student every day.

At Country Day, tuition only covers 80–85% of the cost per student each year. A significant percentage of our operating budget is spent on retaining and supporting the highest quality of faculty and staff. We are committed to minimizing tuition increases while continuing to offer every student an excellent education. Broad community participation is vital for the health of the school, and all community members are invited to invest in the success and life of our school with a gift to the Country Day Fund. Community members are invited to share an area of the Country Day education they would most like to impact with their support. Funds raised during the current school year are budgeted for the following school year.

Thank you in advance for your support of our mission!
