The International Parents (IP) Board was founded in 1988 as the International Parents Group to help welcome and integrate international families into the school community.
Country Day provides a diverse and globally-minded school environment and the IP Board's mission and goals have continued to evolve and adapt to the needs of the community. In addition to families with international backgrounds, we welcome families with an interest in helping promote global engagement and diversity.
Our primary goals are to:
- Assist international families in their transition to Charlotte and to Country Day.
- Promote a mutual understanding between the school and parents by facilitating communication and providing a discussion platform.
- Enhance the school's globally-minded culture by hosting and facilitating globally-themed initiatives on campus.
- Encourage international families to participate in school activities and contribute their global diversity to Country Day.
