Bucs Together Postcard 2022

Join us for Bucs Together 2022 | Alumni Week (March 26 – April 2) because no matter how recent or long ago your days as a Country Day student may be, you are #BucsforLife.

Days of Service - March 26 - 30

Join Bucs in Charlotte and around the country in acts of service to better your community! Many alumni have wonderful memories of their time helping with Special Olympics, Aquilifers, the Bow Tie Club, and other service groups on campus. Help us continue our tradition of service by participating in acts of service between March 26-30. We know the deep impact that Bucs can make when they come together for a cause. This year, we are focusing support on blood banks and book donations.

Alumni Blood Donations

Every community in America needs blood on a daily basis. The Red Cross is facing a national blood crisis – its worst blood shortage in over a decade, posing a concerning risk to patient care. Help the Red Cross ensure a bright future for patients by donating blood. Local alumni can email Meghan Zepsa to donate on March 30 between 9 am-3 pm. Those who live outside of Charlotte are encouraged to find a local drive

Promising Pages Drive

Promising Pages, led by Eric Law ’76, is a nonprofit organization that collects new and donated books and shares them with children living in the Charlotte Area Book Desert: those with few, if any, books at home. On March 30, stop by the Mobile Blood Unit in the Cannon Campus visitors lot between 9 am-3 pm and drop off book donations. Promising Pages is always in need of children’s books in new, like new, and gently used condition. Their biggest need is Pre-K through 5th grade books. If you live elsewhere and would like to donate books, access the Promising Pages wishlist or support a book bank in your city.

Days of Giving - March 30 & 31

Make a gift to the Country Day Fund during our third annual Days of Giving. Honor the teachers, advisors, coaches, and staff who made a difference in your life! Give a gift that is meaningful to you, perhaps $20.22 as a shout-out to this year’s senior class.

Days of Parties - April 1 & 2

Alumni Weekend 2022 will look a little different than in years past. Groups that should have hosted reunions in 2020 and 2021 will celebrate together in 2022. This means you get to party with siblings and friends in adjacent classes! Bucs from thirty alumni classes will attend cluster reunion parties on Friday. Alumni are also invited to join the All-School Celebration and Auction taking place on campus Saturday! Registration begins February 22. Stay tuned for details.
