2023-24 Impact & Giving Report

United in Our Impact

The 2023–24 school year highlighted the resilience and strength of the Charlotte Country Day School community. Under the guidance of the Board of Trustees and Interim Head of School David Mancos, the school navigated challenges and ended the year on solid ground.

With the appointment of Dr. Tara Christie Kinsey as the next head of school, effective July 2025, we look forward to her proven leadership, which has been honed through her experience at The Hewitt School and other prestigious institutions. Tara's focus on student well-being, fundraising, and collaborative decision-making will enhance Country Day’s mission.

Additionally, the development of a Strategic Plan framework, led by Ron Eliasek and Lisa Toppin, will support future growth by aligning the school’s core values and goals with emerging trends in education. The community’s input and the work of the Strategic Planning Task Force will continue to drive excellence, as reflected by high reenrollment rates, record participation in the Country Day Fund, and the ongoing support from parent and trustee groups. The school is poised for continued success, building upon its foundation of excellence.

In this issue of Perspectives, we invite you to review the financial, admissions, DEIB, and giving reports for the 2023–24 school year, along with the donor rolls.
