In October 1995, former Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev is the first of four world leaders to speak at Country Day and meet with faculty and students to provide an in-depth understanding of history, culture, economics, and politics.
Shimon Peres, Lech Walesa, and John Major also visited Country Day in the 1990s, thanks to former Country Day parent Robert Pittenger.
