Parents Council Created

Parent Volunteer Group

Since the earliest days of Country Day’s existence, remarkably dedicated parents have played a vital role in our school. The Parents’ Council, precursor to the Parents’ Association (PA), was established and chaired by Elizabeth Dowd in 1943.

Some of our longest and most cherished traditions, such as the Lower School Halloween Parade, Big Saturday, Car Raffle, Art Sale, Run For Good, bi-annual Auction, and robust parent education programming are signature PA events.

Throughout the decades, the Parents' Association has built connections, fostered community spirit, and raised supplemental funds through events and other gatherings open to all Country Day families. The PA also provides volunteer opportunities for families and individuals to serve the school and support and recognize our dedicated faculty and staff.
