For many years, teachers had been incorporating international perspectives into their curriculum. In 1988, we were the first school in the area to create a comprehensive International Studies program to focus on global mindedness, building bridges to other people and places, and providing international travel experience to our Middle and Upper School students.
Through language instruction, a curriculum that promotes global studies and cross-cultural connections, and a diverse school community that allows students abundant opportunities to learn from other community members, we are intentional about promoting cultural competence for our students of all ages.
