On March 2, 2020, our school shared its plans to navigate the uncertain waters of COVID-19, preparing for a possible extended closure. Less than a month later, we embarked on a new journey with remote learning continuing through the end of the school year.
In 2020–21, we embraced a blended learning model. Lower School students were on campus daily in split homerooms, while Middle and Upper School students alternated days on an A/B schedule. Partnering with Atrium Health, we brought our community back safely with health screenings and support. After a brief period of remote learning in January, we returned to blended learning, and by April 2021, we were fully on campus once more.
The 2021–22 school year saw us together again, navigating new norms like masks and contact tracing. Through it all, our community's resilience and togetherness brought back a sense of normalcy and consistency in teaching and learning. We faced challenges, but we got through them together, stronger than ever.
