Upper School Curriculum
Our Upper School program offers a diverse and challenging curriculum that provides students with a breadth of class offerings, including traditional subject courses and a wide range of interesting electives.
Country Day students reach Upper School prepared for a deeper academic focus and they are supported by a rotating seven day class schedule which allows time with a faculty advisor to discuss coursework or seek extra help from teachers, attend weekly assemblies, study in the library, spend time with friends, and participate in service, special interest, or affinity clubs.
Country Day’s Upper School experience focuses on academic rigor, but also allows time for students to lead, serve, develop their talents, and create lifelong relationships.
By the time our students graduate, they are ready for college and prepared for life.
Upper School operates on a seven day rotating schedule, allowing for classes to meet at different times throughout the day.
Each class period is 65 minutes long. Students meet five of their seven periods each day and, during a full cycle, each class meets a total of five times.
