Parents' Association Overview Many around the CCDS community have noted that the Parents' Association operates like a well-oiled machine. Year after year hundreds of parents take on jobs large and small to raise funds for the school and help build a strong sense of community for the children and their families. Whether parents want to be involved in the classroom or take part in schoolwide activities, fund-raisers, or community service, there is something that interests everyone. Founded in 1943, the group's organizational structure is split into five boards, with approximately 85 volunteers serving on them. In addition to separate school boards for each division, there is a projects board to oversee special events. The five boards include: Executive Board
