Interscholastic Academic Competition

Students are encouraged to participate in the many local, regional, and national competitions open to them each year. Through such experiences students can meet others with similar interests and participate in keen, intellectual competition.

The CCDS Math Team and the Academic Competition Team travel to a number of local and regional events during the year. Our Model United Nations Chapter is also very active. In addition, foreign language students participate in the national language exams and math students participate in the American High School Mathematics Examination. Many pieces of student art are entered into juried competition, and students enter a variety of writing, speech, choral, and science contests. The many awards and trophies on display in the Upper School attest to our students' successes.
