Charlotte Country Day School's three division libraries offer a wide variety of resources including print and electronic formats to support academic endeavors and pleasure reading. Students can locate library resources using our web-based automated catalog of holdings and other database services, including EBSCO Host and WorldBook Online from any Internet connected device. Students are encouraged to use the library and its resources throughout the school day, independently and with classes. Professional library faculty are dedicated to each division library to teach and assist students in locating, evaluating, and using information effectively.

The Cannon Memorial Library offers access to more than 20,000 volumes plus other resources, including periodicals, e-books, DVDs, and CDs. Laptops, digital cameras, and video recorders are also available for student checkout. Through the Cannon Library's web page, students, teachers, and parents may use several subscription services at home and at school. Periodical articles are accessible through EBSCO, SIRS, ProQuest, and JStor. Other online products, such as encyclopedias, Questia, The Oxford English Dictionary, Oxford Dictionary of Music, and Oxford Dictionary of Art, are among the array of resources available for the academic needs of our students.
Library patrons have access to reference computer areas where they may work individually for research, word processing, or for other computer-related activities. In addition, computer labs are reserved for computer courses and other scheduled classes requiring a lab setting.
Library faculty are available to assist all students with research questions and materials selection. In addition, the librarians teach information literacy skills in all grades, focusing on topics such as how to make a bibliography, how to access, locate, and present information, and critical thinking strategies.
