Calvin Davis, varsity tennis coach at Charlotte Country Day for 20 years, has to his credit 23 state championships for the boys’ and girls’ varsity tennis programs. He previously served as head coach for the Southern Section Davis Cup Team, head coach for the Southern Section/Florida Challenge Team, and the Southern Section Boys’ and Girls’ 16’s Intersectional Team. The Charlotte Observer has named him Coach of the Year four times in five years. Coach Davis is highly respected at the national level of USTA competition and received the highest certification by the USTA as a High Performance Coach. Coach Calvin Davis is a PTR Certified Level One Professional.
