Attention Girls!
Girls today have more choices and possibilities than ever! As wonderful as it is to have the vast amount of freedom to make choices, the teenage years can be really confusing for girls. Making the right choices is important but not often easy. Athena’s Path helps develop leaders by giving girls the tools and perspective they need to stay true to themselves, rather than follow the crowd. Athena’s Path leadership camps remind girls how to be strong and original, despite the ongoing social pressures to conform. Best of all, we do it in an atmosphere of fun. Join us for confidential girl talk, games, and excitement at Athena’s Path!
Parents:
Middle School can be a crucial tipping point in the way that girls perceive themselves and their relations with others. At Athena’s Path, girls learn and practice lifetime leadership skills in a structured creative environment. Games, activities, role playing, in-depth discussions, speakers and a great deal of fun provide girls with healthy perspective and a toolkit of strategies. Your daughter discovers that being a leader doesn’t necessarily mean being class president…it means solving problems creatively, doing what she believes is right, and staying true to herself in every situation.
Our camp leadership lessons cover: Leading with YOUR unique style, empowerment in the social scene, evaluating and responding to criticism, positive communication, creative problem solving, real role models, and focus friendship.
Benefits:
- A greater sense of community among girls
- More girls who exhibit positive leadership skills among peers
- A safer peer environment with more inter-social mixing and communications
- A stronger sense of self and improved focus on goals
- A sharp decline in eye-rolling at home!
