Bonnie Duckworth
Summer Drama Camp
(NOTE: BOTH SESSIONS ARE FULL)

Summer Fun on Stage!
Rising grades 2–7. Session I: June 16–20, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Session II: June 23–27, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  $225 each session.
Have you dreamed of acting on stage? Do you like to dance and sing? Would you like to learn about lighting and set design? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, we have the perfect summer camp for you. Explore all areas of the stage including drama, dance for the stage, music, scenery, and lighting. Complete several character analyses in order to understand the “why” of dramatic interpretation. Express yourself through a combination of the fine arts. In addition, learn various techniques of using the voice and body as a form of communication. A different musical is performed each session. Students may sign up for one or both weeks. At the end of the week, parents are invited to attend an original musical involving all students.

The Kids Cooking and Theatre Arts Camp
Ages 8–12. July 21–25. 9:00 a.m. to noon. $265.
The Kids Cooking and Theatre Arts Camp is a unique, extremely fun, and fast-paced camp for children. The camp combines culinary and theatre arts in an extremely “hands-on” atmosphere. The culinary focus of the series is the understanding of where food comes from and how it affects our lives and bodies. The theatre focus is designed to help explore and increase creativity and build self-esteem. The culinary curriculum of the class features easy-to-make recipes, helpful nutrition information, tips on how to read a food label, etiquette, kitchen safety and sanitation, culinary terms, and how to set a table.  The theatre curriculum features creative writing, theatre terms, a history of the theatre, diction, improvisation skills, working together as a team, and building self-confidence. Parents and friends are invited to attend a “wrap party” during the final 30 minutes of the class on Friday.
