Lower School Programs
Four Weeks: June 16–July 11
FUN with FUNdamentals
Rising grades 2–3. 8:00 a.m. to noon. $565.
This program emphasizes reading comprehension and related language skills through phonics; also includes a daily program of silent and oral reading. Math skills are reviewed using numerical games and exercises along with formal drills to increase speed and accuracy in computation. Recreational and other group activities are an integral part of the program.
The In-Depth Learning Program: An Intimate Review of Basic Skills and Academic Challenges
Rising grades 4–5. 8:00 a.m. to noon. $565.
Learning within a small, confidence-building environment is stressed with this age group. The program emphasizes fundamentals of language and includes a structured review of phonics with heavy focus on reading comprehension and writing skills. Math computation skills and concepts involved in math reasoning are strongly reinforced. Enjoyable experiences that promote mastery of social studies and science concepts are also included.
