Girls Basketball

Team History
In 1953, the Girls Basketball program got its start with an eighth grade team. By the 1960–1961 season, Girls Basketball was competing on the varsity level under Coach Walters and finished with a 7–2 record. Coach Viola Clark took the team to the state tournament in 1977–1978, the first year it was held, and the Bucs placed 2nd. Under the leadership of Coach Madeline Frosch, the Bucs won two NCSIAA state champions in 1983 and 1987. They also finished as state runner up four times. Current Head Coach Andre Haston, who is in his fifth season, has led the team to qualify for the tournament three times.
