Girls Tennis

Team History
Girls Tennis started at Country Day in 1988 under Head Coach Art Abbott. The first state championship event for the program was in 1988. In 1990, Calvin Davis took over as Head Coach, and under his leadership, the Girls Tennis program has claimed the championship title 14 times. The 90s was an era of dominance for the program, when the tournament was an individual format—we brought home a record eight back-to-back titles between 1990 and 1997. Country Day Girls Tennis also won the state championship in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003. Since the format changed to a dual team tournament in 2005, the Bucs have earned two state titles, in 2013 and 2014.
