Country Day will open on a regular schedule on January 19. Administrators have monitored the weather and surrounding roads for safe travel. Thanks to our plant operations team, the campuses are clear and ready for school.
We understand that some neighborhood roads may not be completely cleared. Please make the safest decision for your family or student driver in the morning. If you believe roads in your neighborhood are unsafe for travel, please do not drive to school until you feel it is safe to do so.
At Country Day, there is so much to do after school. We offer more than 25 after-school enrichment classes for students in Lower and Middle School, a nurturing Extended Day program, and a comprehensive summer camp program. More than 50 percent of our two-parent families are dual income, and they can count on After School programs to meet their children’s needs and interests.
Extended Day: Fun and Flexible
The warm, nurturing environment that Country Day students receive in the classroom every day continues into the Extended Day program. Our dedicated after-school teachers carefully plan a variety of fun and interesting activities—from cooking to singing to story time and developmental games and art projects.
Of course, Extended Day also includes plenty of time for just being a child on the playground or during creative free play, as well as structure time for homework. And students can easily take part in After School Enrichment programs.
- Extended Day starts at 1:15 pm with a choice of dismissal times from 2:50 pm to 6:00 pm.
- Parents can enroll their children from one to five days per week on a monthly basis.
- The program operates on a full-day basis during parent conferences and faculty professional days.

Country Day was the first school in the region to answer the needs of working parents by developing a structured Extended Day Program to provide before-school and after-school care.
From drama and art to video game development and robotics, Country Day students have more than 200 fun and creative summer camp choices. Additionally, high school credit courses and challenging sports camps are offered.
Registration typically begins by late January and programs begin the first week of June. Learn more about Summer Programs.
