China Sister School Program

Charlotte Country Day school has two sister school relationships with China.

Since 2002, CCDS has had an official U.S. State Department relationship with the American International School of Guangzhou (AISG). Our sister school exchange is offered every two years. An integral part of the China sister school program is a Habitat for Humanity project. Our students travel with their sister school partners to rural areas of China where they work together to build a house at a Habitat site. The next trip is scheduled to take place in March 2009.

 

In November 2007, we started a new sister school exchange with the High School Affiliated to Nanjing Normal University (NSFZ) in Nanjing, China. Charlotte Country Day is the first school in North Carolina to have a full teacher exchange with a high school in the People's Republic of China. We look forward to having a student exchange in the future.
