Hance Fine Arts Center

With its striking and inspirational design, the Hance Fine Arts Center is a work of art in itself. Its 45,730-square-foot design features four visual arts studios, a photography studio with two darkrooms equipped for film and print development, and a ceramics/3-D studio. It offers a drama classroom/black box theater with two catwalks, and a two-story dance studio with a sprung floor. The building also includes a music suite with acoustically sound instrumental and choral classrooms, six individual practice rooms, and four rooms for group/section rehearsals. Finally, it houses five humanities classrooms, a computer graphics classroom, a student publication center, a multi-function seminar classroom, and a student art gallery.

Gorelick Family Theater

The Gorelick Family Theater seats 400, and provides a wonderful home for more than 70 play performances, special events, and assemblies each year for students in all three divisions. It also features state-of-the art sound and lighting systems, a proscenium and stage, additional storage for theater props and sets, and acoustical treatments for the walls and ceiling. In addition, the building holds two child-scaled art studios and a ceramics studio for Lower School students, the Dalton Gallery which is used to exhibit art from all three divisions, piano studios for individual piano instruction, foreign language classrooms, a dance room, two Lower School music classrooms, and an Extended Day classroom.
