Parent Involvement

Many volunteer opportunities exist for parents at Charlotte Country Day School. From helping out in the classroom and supporting athletic teams to planning fundraising events and welcoming new families, parents can find a volunteer role that suits their interests and their schedule. Our parent volunteers find that not only do they help make CCDS an even better place for their children, they form lasting friendships in the process. The school has three major parent volunteer organizations.

All Charlotte Country Day parents are members of the Parents' Association and are encouraged to take part in activities. The Parents' Association has three goals:

  • To provide support and assistance to the school
  • To raise money to provide important resources for the students, teachers, and classrooms
  • To provide fellowship and friendship among CCDS families

About the Parents’ Association Boards
Founded in 1943, the group's organizational structure is split into six boards, with approximately 85 volunteers serving on them. In addition to separate school boards for each division, there is also an Executive Board, Projects Board, and International Board, which all oversee fundraising and fellowship events. The support of all parents is needed to help the CCDS Parents’ Association make a difference in the overall quality of the educational experience at Country Day.
